RouteOne In the Community
At RouteOne, we continually seek opportunities to serve and contribute positively to our local communities. We encourage our team members to participate in volunteer activities that make an impact for the greater good. We've assisted at local food banks, walked for local charities, and held holiday gift collections for families in need. We also provide paid time off for employees who want to participate in community service events.

We work hard and play hard at RouteOne. We thrive on healthy competition and collaboration and celebrate our efforts and successes as a team. We strive to be inclusive and aim for every employee to feel valued. Some of the ways we encourage collaboration and team building include:
INNOthon
INNOthon is a 3-day RouteOne internal competition where employees work in groups and generate ideas to enhance our business. The event is an excellent opportunity for collaboration, creative thinking, and team building with colleagues. Over the years, we have seen some fantastic, innovative ideas that have improved our processes and products. It's a fun and energizing experience for all who participate.
R1 Live
Each quarter, we encourage employees to head to our Farmington Hills, MI, office to collaborate, meet new colleagues, and strengthen existing relationships with peers. The team is encouraged to get to know each other better and work together in person.
Company Events
RouteOne values a healthy work-life balance, and we intentionally create opportunities to come together and have fun. Whether sampling food trucks at a summer picnic, enjoying a competitive game of golf, or winning prizes in our holiday raffle, we promote mindfulness to relax and focus on the relationships we are building together.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging - DEIB Initiatives
We are committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive workplace for our employees. We believe our company is stronger because of the diverse ideas and perspectives we bring.
Some steps we've taken to promote a diverse and inclusive culture are:
- Diverse interview panels and hiring practices that seek out candidates with differing or different backgrounds
- Employee-led cultural celebrations such as Diwali
- Observation of Martin Luther King Day and Juneteenth
- Support for charities focused on assisting minorities and underserved communities
- Company support of Employee Resource Groups such as a Women in Leadership group
- DEIB training for employees
Health + Wellness Initiatives
- Team Step/Virtual Fitness Challenges - RouteOne employees who choose to participate can log daily steps to support physical health and wellness, collaborate, and have a fun competition with peers.
- Detroit Marathon Relay - RouteOne has sponsored employee teams for several years to participate in the relay race.
- AFSP Walk for Suicide Prevention - RouteOne matched 100% of the funds raised by employees and made a one-time employer contribution.
- Flexible work schedules - Flexible start and end times to accommodate families and other priorities.
- UNUM Employee Assistance Program - Work/Life balance program designed to help employees create happier lives at home and work.
