MDOCA - Restricted Credit Application Access

When will Credit Application access be restricted?

Partners who use RouteOne’s Multi-Dealer Online Credit Application (MDOCA) function can enable a process that locks customer Credit Applications from being viewed by the dealership, until the dealer unlocks the Credit Application with a customer-provided reference number.

What will be restricted?

While the Credit Application will be listed in RouteOne (e.g. such as in Deal Manager), dealers cannot view any details about the decision, the Credit Application, or credit information, until the application is unlocked with the customer-provided reference number.

What is the process for unlocking the Credit Application?

The customer submits a Credit Application through a partner who uses RouteOne’s MDOCA (via the partner’s website or an in-store kiosk).

Once the Credit Application is complete, the customer will receive an email containing their ‘customer reference number,’ the status of their Credit Application (availability may vary based on the partner’s settings), the vehicle, and information about the dealership that their Credit Application was sent to.

Email sent to customer containing their ‘customer reference number,’ credit application status, vehicle, dealership information.

When the customer arrives at the dealership with their ‘customer reference number,’ the dealer will need to locate their Credit Application in the RouteOne (in either Deal Manager, App Manager, or Desktop) and click on the customer’s name.

You can see that the Credit Application was imported from a partner because ‘DSP’ and the name of the partner appear next to the customer’s name, as in the example below.

Clicking on the customer’s name will display an ‘Unlock Credit Application’ window, with a field to enter the customer’s reference number.

To simplify this experience for customers, all customer-facing communications from RouteOne refer to the ‘Customer Reference Number.’ Dealers should note that this is the same as the ‘Credit Application ID #.’

After 5 days, these Credit Applications will be automatically unlocked in RouteOne and the dealer can proceed as they would with any Credit Application.
