Vice President, U.S. Brand Management, Ford Credit
Bill Whitlock is Vice President, U.S. Brand Management, and has held this position since January 2015. He and his staff are the primary liaisons for the Ford and Lincoln brands in the U.S. He works closely with the Marketing, Sales and Service teams to support sales of Ford and Lincoln vehicles and associated products.
Prior to this role, Whitlock served as Director, U.S. Sales Operations and Major Accounts, for Ford Credit from 2013-2014. In this role, he was responsible for the management and operations of the U.S. sales staff and all major account customers. Before this, he was Director, Global Consumer Risk, from 2011-2012. His primary responsibilities included oversight and management of Ford Credit’s consumer portfolio. Whitlock instituted the Scorecard Cycle Plan, which provided governance for all consumer and commercial risk scorecards. Additionally, he led the Ford Credit team working with Lincoln to develop the Lincoln Certified Off-Lease Retention (LCORP) program.
From 2007-2011, Whitlock was Director, Global Commercial Risk. He was responsible for creation of the current dealer credit organization and oversaw global credit risk policy. He was a member of the North America Credit Risk Committee and Ford Credit International Credit Review Committee, and secretary for the Credit Policy and Risk Committee.
Previously, Whitlock held numerous field positions, including District Manager - Great Lakes Region, Customer Service Manager - Henderson Business Center, Branch Manager - Seattle territory, and Branch Manager - San Antonio territory.
Originally from Texas, Whitlock holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas State University. He has been married for 30 years to Janet and they have two daughters. In their spare time, the family enjoys traveling to beaches and mountains.
